Born and raised in Miami, Florida, Jinia Williams is a licensed mental health counselor, qualified supervisor, and career coach. She holds a master’s degree in clinical psychology and is currently pursuing a PhD in counseling education at Barry University, where her research focuses on the social and mental health challenges impacting the geriatric population.

With over 20 years of experience in social work and mental health counseling, Jinia specializes in supporting individuals with mental health disorders, special needs, and survivors of sexual abuse. She is also a dedicated advocate for the Haitian community, regularly serving as a panelist and presenter on key mental health issues affecting marginalized populations.
​
Fluent in Haitian Creole, Jinia is deeply connected to her cultural heritage and is actively involved in community service. She contributes to various organizations, including Rebati Santé Mentale, Beautiful Beauties of Tomorrow, and the Little Miss Proverbs 31 Girls Mentorship Programs. Jinia is also an active member of professional associations such as the American Psychological Association, the Florida Counseling Association, and the Association of Black Psychologists South Florida Chapter.

In addition to her counseling work, Jinia is a National Certified Counselor and a Board-Certified Christian Counselor. She serves as the church board secretary at the Deliverance Tabernacle Church of the Nazarene and volunteers as a Suicide Prevention Instructor for NAMI Miami-Dade. Jinia is also the Director of the Mental Health Program at Sant La Haitian Neighborhood Center.

Outside of her professional life, Jinia enjoys attending music and performing arts events and loves to travel, always eager to explore new destinations.
